Layna Miyazaki is a Japanese, British born filmmaker and photographer. She is currently based in Barcelona. Miyazaki is influenced by ideas that relate to notions of time and movement as means of storytelling and self-expression. Miyazaki’s love of dance, strongly contributes towards her aesthetic and the narrative portrayed in her work. Experimentation and a sense of play are key parts in her process in which she explores mixed media, animation, collage in combination with photography and video.
